Works Progressing on New Creative Arts Building
October 29, 1978
EXTERIOR WALLS — Construction of Lassen College’s new Creative Arts Building is continuing with the rock-faced exterior walls — some weighing as much as 30 tons — being lifted with heavy equipment.
The building is reaching 25 percent completion with the interior walls finished. The next step will be construction of large columns.
The Creative Arts Building will contain more than 21,000 square feet and will house a learning resource center, a graphic arts design and production complex and a learning skills center.
The building is located northwest of the college’s Humanities Building and is expected to be completed in Fall 1979. (Photo by Linda Kennedy).
