LMUD Presents: This Day in Susanville History – September 18, 1960

Mrs. Frank Maurino of Susanville, Calif., and her daughter, Molly, will be among the models participating in the Susanville Soroptimist Fall Fashion Show and Tea Saturday afternoon, Sept. 24.

Women’s Club Sponsors Tea, Fashion Show
September 18, 1960

The annual Fall Fashion Show and Tea, sponsored by the Susanville Soroptomist Club, will be held here Saturday afternoon, Sept. 24 at 2 o’clock in the Lassen High School girls’ gymnasium.

The event is a fund raising function for the organization’s senior citizen project at the Lassen County Hospital.

The public is invited to see the latest in fall fashions which have been loaned for the occasion by local merchants.

Hair styles will be created by Susanville beauty salons. Susanville women and students will be among the models showing the apparel to the music of Donnan Coutolenc of Paradise, Calif., at the organ.

Co-chairmen are Mrs. DeForest Breitwieser and Mrs. Jesse Hersey.
