Birthday Anniversary Soroptimist
September 22, 1972

Birthday Anniversary — Twenty-two years of service to the community by the Soroptimist Club of Susanville is marked by a birthday celebration. Shown cutting the birthday cake, Life Member Tillie Brodie makes this occasion a double celebration.

Mrs. Brodie, who served the club as charter president in 1950, has completed 22 years of membership with the achievement of 22 years of perfect attendance.

Born in Scotland, Mrs. Brodie moved to Susanville with her husband in 1922. Tillie has a son, Robert, and four grandchildren.

She was employed by the Bank of America for 21 1/2 years, retiring in 1963. She now finds herself enjoying her retirement, with activities such as gardening and her continuing interest in the Soroptimist Club keeping her busy. (Eastman’s Studio photo).
