Youngsters Footprints Welcome
September 23, 1950

When the workers finish a concrete job, their effort is to leave the surface as smooth as possible, and the bane of these workers are the youngsters who delight in leaving footprints in the fresh cement.

When the new wading pool in the memorial park in Susanville is completed, there won’t be such a worry. The children will be invited to press their hands and feet in the cement of the promenade around the pool.

And what could be more appropriate decoration for this please spot for youngsters? Memorial plaques or inscriptions soon lose all meaning, but the outlines of the boys’ and girls’ hands and feet in concrete will be a constant reminder that the pool was built for their use and enjoyment.
