Paid Manager is Forecast
September 3, 1940
Lassen county’s annual livestock show, horse show and rodeo has reached such proportions, according to Jim E. Bronson, chairman of the general committee, which conducted the August 21-26 affair, that a paid manager will be necessary to have complete charge of the program, within the next year or so.
Bronson, who was executive head of the 1940 show which distributed some $25,000 among 2,800 head of stock on display, told members of the Susanville 20-30 Club the Lassen show was now a $25,000 a year or better business, and that it needed skilled management the same as any other business.
