Winners in Lassen High FHA Spring Fashion Show

WINNERS in the Lassen High Magic of Spring Fashion Show last week were, from left, Patty Rogers, Sue Harp and Cindy Herrington. Patty received a gift courtesy of the J. C. Penney Co. She was the winner in the general homemaking classes.
Sue received a gift courtesy of Debi’s Fabrics as the winner in the intermediate clothing classes division. Cindy Herrington received her gift courtesy of Sprouse-Reitz as the winner in the advanced clothing classes.
Clothes made by the homemaking students were modeled by 80 girls of Lassen High. They were joined by another 20 girls who modeled fashions from Mode O’Day, the Pardner, Peggy Rose, Penney’s, Sandra’s and The Smart Shop. This part of the program was staged beautifully by Mrs. Jackie Ellena as narrator and Pam Booth in charge of the models.
An enthusiastic crowd filled the Lassen High Student Center to encourage these girls as they showed their creations. The guests were welcomed by Cindy Hardy, president of the Future Homemakers chapter, hostess for the afternoon, and by Mike King, principal of Lassen High. Guests were treated to coffee, punch and cookies at the tea table presided over by Miss Judy Williams.
Mrs. Janice Flux, president of the Lassen County Cow Belles, presented each of the senior homemaking students with the Lassen County Cow Belles Beef Cookbook.
Carol Music was presented with her Betty Crocker Homemaker of the Year award by Mrs. Dorothy Thurber, homemaking instructor.
