Lassen Municipal Utility District Board of Directors will hold a special meeting, Wednesday, July 6th at 10:00am.
The public is invited to join the Board and LMUD staff for a bus tour of LMUD’s electric system. The tour will begin at approximately 10:30am and will end at approximately 4:00pm.
The bus tour will start and end at the LMUD business office located at 65 S. Roop. The tour is limited to 20 members of the public.
The tour route will encompass several stops, beginning at Devil’s Corral where LMUD’s main transmission lines are visible. Next the group will travel through LMUD’s system stopping along the way to view various aspects of the utility’s infrastructure, including substations, distribution lines, co-generation plants and potential sites for future substations and transmission lines.
Participants are encouraged to bring a light snack or sack lunch. Bathroom facilities are not available on the tour bus, however, the bus will make several scheduled break stops.
