Local Law Enforcement Goes ‘Scruffy’ For a Good Cause

noshavefeature

You have most likely noticed that some members of the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office and Susanville Police Department are unshaven and may look a little ‘scruffy’ these days. The hirsute officers aren’t slacking-off in their personal grooming standards, they look this way for a wonderful cause – participating in “No Shave November.”

“No-Shave November,” according to the no-shave.org website, “is a month-long journey during which participants forgo shaving and grooming in order to evoke conversation and raise cancer awareness.”

Officers and Deputies will be donating the money they typically spend on shaving and grooming to the No Shave November program. Those funds are used to educate about cancer prevention, save lives and aid those fighting the battle.

If you would like to contribute to the No Shave November organization visit no-shave.org/donate.
