The soundtrack of the holiday season wouldn’t feel complete without the tinkle of Salvation Army bells at the entrance to stores around town, and bell ringers are out in force right now to help fill the red kettles. This week folks from Susanville Rotary, Sunrise Rotary and the Lassen College Baseball Team all took some time to ring the bell.

According to a Facebook post from the Salvation Army those three organizations are responsible for raising most of the money in their kettles this year, collecting more than $2,200! Every cent put in the red kettles stays right here in Lassen County to assist our community members.

Next week bell ringers will include local law enforcement agencies and educators. If you would like to sign up call Austin at (530) 251-6046.
