Lassen College is gearing up for a big night of basketball this Wednesday, February 4th, as both the men’s and women’s Cougar squads face off against the Feather River Golden Eagles. While the college matchups are sure to bring the heat, the evening will also feature a special spotlight on Susanville’s own youth athletes.
The action starts with the Women’s game at 5:00p.m., followed by the Men’s game at 7:00. During the halftimes, the atmosphere will get even more electric as players from Lassen Hoops and the 7th and 8th-grade boys’ teams take the floor for a 3-Point Competition.
This competition is open to all age divisions, giving local kids a chance to show off their shooting skills in front of the home crowd. Rather than a pre-set list, contestants will be selected through a lottery drawing held right before the halftime breaks, and prizes will be awarded to those who participate.
When the players arrive, their names will go into a hat, and they will be drawn randomly.
All Lassen Hoops players are encouraged to come out, fill the stands, and wear their jerseys to show their Cougar pride. It’s a great opportunity to support our LCC teams while celebrating the hard work of our younger players.
