Long Time Lassen Coach Announces Resignation

Scott Blackwood Sports

After more than a decade as the head softball coach at Lassen High School, Paul Moore has decided to step down. Citing twenty years of coaching softball Moore simply stated, “It’s time to retire.”

Moore took over the Lassen softball program in 2000 and led the Lady Grizzlies to eight league titles, while claiming two NSCIF section championships. In his twelve years leading the Lassen softball program, Moore accumulated 305 wins.

“I’d like to thank all of the wonderful young ladies I’ve had the opportunity to coach. The memories will last a lifetime.” said Moore. “I also want to thank Greg Dickerson and Brian Dunn for their many years of service to the program.”

Moore also spent time as the head girl’s basketball coach for Lassen High and will continue to serve as an assistant to Lassen head football coach Tom St. Jacques through to 2011 season.
