Looking for Some Unique Last Minute Gifts? Visit the Susanville Museum

Looking for a unique Christmas gift? The Lassen Historical Society’s museum on Weatherlow street has a bunch of great historical books including rarities like George McDow’s Booms and Mushrooms, Fairfield’s History of Lassen County and Red River: Paul Bunyan’s Own Lumber Company and Its Railroads in hardcover.

New to the museum are heavy canvas tote bags with a 6″ gusset and key clip with “Roop’s Fort – Susanville California” printed on the side for just $15. New 15OZ Ceramic Roop’s Fort mugs have just arrived and are $10 each.

Looking for something extra special? How about hand-crafted Susanville Railroad Depot ornaments. All proceeds from these ornaments go to help support Lassen Land Trails and Trust. Pick one up at the museum today for just $10.

The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00a.m. until 2:00p.m. On Saturday hours are 10:00a.m. until 1:00p.m. For more information call the museum at 257-3292 or email [email protected].
