
Lorrae Annette “Lori” Mackay (Rogers), 68, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on May 1958, in Birmingham, Alabama, Lori lived a life filled with love, adventure, and dedication to her family and passions. Prior to her passing, she was a resident of Susanville, CA until December 2019 when her husband retired from the Susanville Indian Rancheria.
Lori graduated from Memorial High School and pursued higher education at Lassen Community College, where she earned two Associate of Arts degrees, including one in Liberal Arts and one in Business Administration. Her commitment to learning and personal growth was evident throughout her life.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Lori loved fishing, gardening, and travelingāactivities that brought her peace and allowed her to connect with nature and the world around her. Whether tending to her garden or casting a line into the water, she embraced these moments with enthusiasm and care.
Lori is lovingly remembered by her husband, James Mackay, children: Zane Beagle, Gail Lukaska, and Lisa Beagle; as well as her step-sons Corey Mackay and Andrew Mackay. She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Gail Rogers. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
