Mary Ann McCormack

Mary Ann McCormack was born on May 20, 1939 to Matilda and Servillian Haslinger in
Fremont, Ohio. She attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School, St. Joseph’s High
School, and Gale Institute for Business.

During High School, Mary Ann worked for the local newspaper. After graduating from Gale Institute, she went to Washington D.C. Mary Ann worked as a secretary for the U.S. Navy Department, Interior Department, Chief of Operations Research at NASA, and finally for the Office of Defense Affairs Executive Secretary. She met Jim McCormack in Washington D.C. Jim and Mary Ann bought property at Eagle Lake when they were engaged and married. After twenty-one years of living in various locations across the United States, they moved to Eagle Lake.

Mary Ann volunteered at church with set up and singing. She enjoyed traveling and
mini- trips. She was the prayer warrior in the family. Mary Ann is survived by her
daughters, Cheryl and Carla; brother, Ken; and numerous nieces, nephews, and
cousins.

Services for Mary Ann will be Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church starting with viewing at 9:00am, Rosary at 10:00am and Mass at 11:00am with burial to follow at Diamond Crest Cemetery next to Jim.
