The Lassen and Modoc national forests have completed the draft Northeastern California Plateaus Bioregion Science Synthesis and it is ready for public feedback.

Public input is valued and everyone is encouraged to comment on this draft. Feedback received before May 10th will be considered during the preparation of the final draft.
Using input garnered at the December 2016 public workshop in Susanville, a team of Forest Service scientists has reviewed more than 800 publications that may have relevance to the unique ecosystems of the Northeastern California plateaus region.
They then prepared 15 chapters that were peer-reviewed by university and Forest Service researchers, revised accordingly and subsequently reviewed by the staffs of the Lassen and Modoc national forests to help ensure critical topics were covered. After another revision, the document underwent a Forest Service policy review.
The final draft will be prepared after this public comments period.
