The Monticola Club is gearing up for its highly anticipated Spring Yard Sale on May 1st and 2nd, offering Susanville residents the perfect opportunity to hunt for unique treasures while supporting local philanthropy. The organization has spent months collecting a wide range of goods, featuring everything from stylish purses and sturdy hand tools to essential home items like cookware, linens and planters. Those looking for outdoor adventure might even find the ultimate prize: a Sea Eagle inflatable kayak. Many of the items being offered are remarkably pristine, with several still tucked away in their original boxes.
This community event is more than just a sale; it is a vital fundraiser that fuels the Monticola Club’s extensive service projects throughout the year. Every purchase made helps provide scholarships for local students, funds the beautiful daffodil plantings seen around town, and supports essential programs like student nutrition, community food baskets and the Angel Tree Christmas gift drive.
The sale kicks off at the Clubhouse on Friday, May 1st, from 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m., and continues Saturday, May 2nd, from 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m.
Beyond hosting community events, the Clubhouse also serves as a local venue available for group rentals, and interested parties can call 1.530.257.9220 for more information on booking the space.
As a dedicated women’s volunteer organization, the Monticola Club remains committed to improving the Susanville community and warmly welcomes new members to join their mission. The group meets monthly to conduct business and share a meal prepared by the members.
