The Monticola Club and Susanville ACE Hardware worked together during the month of August to raise funds for all of the organization’s annual projects.
“Each year we award three scholarships to local Lassen High School graduates, and one scholarship to a local Lassen College graduate,” explains Monticola spokesperson Naomi Turner.
“Thank you, Susanville ACE Hardware!” said Turner. “Dawn Oliver, manager and her team, have been a great supporter of our community. Please thank them when you go into the store.”
The fundraiser netted the Monticola ladies $1,100 to use in their activities.
The Round-Up donation supports a 113-year-old club that assists local youth through scholarships and leadership programs each year.
The club also takes on community beautification projects (Parks, Swimming Pool, Daffodil & tree plantings) and community service programs, including food collection for seniors and students, blood drives and replanting our forests.
