Hundreds of mourners are expected to gather this Saturday at the Assembly of God Church in Susanville to celebrate the life of the late Jon Nakanishi.
Nakanishi, father of three and candidate for Lassen County Superior Court Judge, died last week after suffering injuries in a Father’s Day rafting accident.
The family has invited the public to Saturday’s services, which will begin at 2:00p.m. The church is located at 473-465 Richmond Road.
A message from the family posted to Nakanishi’s Facebook page thanks the community for the ‘outpouring of love and support’ they have received.
If you would like to express your sympathy to the family, they ask that you mail cards to 2850 Main Street, Suite 12-245, Susanville, CA 96130.
The family has also requested through Facebook that you don’t telephone or text at this time.
Memorial Fund
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Jon Nakanishi’s wife Rochelle and his three daughters.
Anyone wishing to contribute to the fund can walk in or mail a contribution to 901 Main Street, Susanville CA 96130. Please make checks payable to the Nakanishi Memorial Fund.
