Native Daughters Help Meadow View Celebrate California Day with New Flags

The Native Daughters of the Golden West helped the kids at Meadow View Elementary celebrate California’s Admission Day on Monday with two new flags to fly at the entrance to the campus.

The day marks California’s admission as the 31st state of the union on September 9th, 1850

Rebecca May, president of the local Native Daughter’s chapter and club member Margie Latka presented a brand-new set of American and California flags to Meadow View principal David Howard and students, who performed a short ceremony to raise the new flag.
