New Arts Council Gallery Show Features Water, Clay and Cloth

Lassen County Arts Council’s Water, Clay & Cloth Show will be opening this Saturday, June 7th and runs through July 19th. There will be a “Meet the Artists” reception from 12:00 to 3:00 Saturday, after the first Farmers’ Market of the season, which will include complimentary snacks, sweet treats and fun beverages.

The LCAC gallery on Cottage Street is full of vibrant and beautiful art from local artists focusing on watercolors, fiber arts and ceramics.

The show’s featured artists include Jacqueline Cordova and her watercolor paintings, Therese Fowler Bailey’s watercolors, Linda Erway’s ceramics, Sally Posner’s watercolors, Susan Dunklau’s watercolors and Fiber Arts by Camille Jauregui.

These are the headliner artists in the show, and all of them have more than a 20-year history with the arts council.

The Water, Clay and Cloth show also features some beautiful, and highly usable, quilted zippy bags and pouches from local youth artisan Grace Steward of Benny’s Swags and Tags.

The gallery has refreshed its walls with new paint and new flooring and is ready for the summer season. In the gallery gift shop area they have fun new additions to their selection of art supplies. Perfect gifts like paint by number kits, craft kits, desk/office supplies, organizers and craft kits for all ages.
