Lassen National Forest has hired Matt Boisseau to serve as the Eagle Lake District Ranger as of July 12th. Boisseau has been the acting Eagle Lake District Ranger since April of this year.
“Matt will be a great asset to our Forest leadership team,” said Lassen National Forest Supervisor Dave Hays. “He’ll provide strong experience in public lands and a keen understanding of rural communities.”
Boisseau’s Forest Service experience includes 10 years as a landscape architect with tours of duty on the Lincoln National Forest, Tongass National Forest and TEAMS Enterprise Unit.
Prior to coming to Lassen National Forest in April, Boisseau served in a leadership role as the Deputy District Ranger on the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Wells, Nevada for 2 and 1/2 years. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree from Norwich University and a master’s degree from Texas Tech.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time in Susanville over the past few months, and I’m looking forward to leading the District through the challenges ahead,” Boisseau said. “I plan to continue building and strengthening partnerships between the Eagle Lake District and stakeholders throughout Lassen County.”
