Little Italy restaurant, in the 900 block of Main Street, was the victim of a New Year’s Day break-in and arson attempt according to details released by the Susanville Police Department.
Officers from the Susanville PD responded to the restaurant at around 2:00p.m., after an employee called to report that he had arrived to do some paperwork and discovered that someone had broken into the building sometime during the night.
The restaurant was ransacked and a fire was started in the kitchen in what, according to the police report, appeared to be an attempt to burn down the building.
