World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated globally during the first week of August, and local organizations are teaming up to bring the celebration right here to Susanville. In honor of the week, Northeastern Rural Health Clinics and the WIC program will be hosting a special World Breastfeeding Week Celebration at Memorial Park on Friday, August 7th, starting at 10:30a.m.
This event is fully open to the entire community, not just breastfeeding mothers, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Attendees can look forward to a wide range of activities, including postpartum, lactation, and pregnancy support, along with valuable nutrition information and connections to helpful local resources.
The celebration will also feature a special “Forget Me Not” dedication and a “warm chain of support” for mothers. Families can enjoy kid-friendly activities, refreshments, and exciting giveaways throughout the morning.
Come out to enjoy the park, connect with your neighbors, and show your support for families in our community. If you have any questions regarding the event, please feel free to reach out to Theresa at 1.530.251.1496.
