Susanville is rallying together this month for the “Nourish November” Community Food Drive, an effort to support neighbors and ensure local families are fed. This initiative is a collective effort to provide a “hand up” for those in need, operating under the simple and powerful motto: “Give if you can. Take if you need. Together, we feed Susanville.”
How to Donate and Help
The community drive is accepting non-perishable food items as well as gift cards for perishable foods. All donations collected will directly benefit local families, with a portion also being given to the Hope pantry run by the United Methodist Church of Susanville to bolster their resources.
You can drop off your generous donations now through November 30th at three convenient locations:
- Highway to the Gaming Zone
- Merry Morsels
- Lilith’s Place
Help is Available—No Questions Asked
In the spirit of community support, free non-perishable items will also be available to anyone who needs a little extra help. If you or someone you know could use a boost, you can pick up items at both the Merry Morsels and Highway to the Gaming Zone locations. This assistance is offered discreetly and with “no questions asked.”
Organizers hope the community will “show what we can do when we care for one another” and make this November a month of nourishment for every resident.
