NWS Weather Bulletin: Dangerous Freezing Fog in the Valley Overnight

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Freezing Fog Advisory warning residents of northeastern California to prepare for icy roads and visibilities of less than one mile beginning this evening and lasting until late tomorrow morning.

Freezing fog is forecast across Lassen, Plumas, Sierra and northern Washoe counties. Including Susanville, Doyle, Honey Lake and Highway 395 north of Hallelujah Junction.

The freezing fog advisory is in effect from 7:00 this evening to 10:00a.m., Tuesday.

A light coating of ice and low visibility may lead to treacherous driving conditions. Slow down and avoid braking and making sudden turns. Be careful walking outside as slipping and falling greatly increases the risk of injuries.
