Forecasters in the Reno office of the National Weather Service have issued an Urgent Weather Message warning residents in our area to expect extremely windy conditions between now and 10:00 this evening.
Winds will increase this morning, peak by afternoon and continue into the evening.
Here in the Honey Lake Valley look for winds out of the southwest at 20 to 35mph with gusts up to 50mph.
Localized higher gusts, to 60mph, are possible along U.S. Highway 395 between here and the Nevada border.
Travel restrictions likely for high profile vehicles, especially for US-395.
