The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Wind Advisory warning residents of the Honey Lake Valley and surrounding areas to expect gusts up to 50mph throughout the afternoon and into this evening.
West winds of 20 to 30mph, with gusts up to 50mph, are forecast until 8:00p.m., in Lassen County, Surprise Valley, eastern Plumas County, eastern Sierra County and Northern Washoe County.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Travel restrictions for high profile vehicles are possible. Check with CalTrans and CHP for the latest on road conditions.
