Richard Paul Dallimore
Richard Paul Dallimore passed away at Banner Lassen Hospital on Monday, July 8th, 2013 after being ill for several months. Pappy, as many friends called him, was born May 17th, 1923 in Pasadena, CA. He was in the Navy December 7th, 1941 when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor and received the Purple Heart. He also served in the Air Force Reserves. He worked several jobs before retiring after fifteen years as a truck driver.
Pappy loved flying, traveling, dirt bike riding and wood cutting. He moved to Susanville, CA in the 1980’s where he lived at Eagle Lake.
He is preceded in death by his wife Clara Mae Dallimore and son Richard Dallimore. He is survived by his wife Rosaline, sons Robert and Russell, stepdaughter Linda, stepson Louis daughter in-laws Jody and Chris, grandchildren Michael, Wendy, Alex and Richard. He loved life and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 28th, 2013 at the Eagle Lake Community Church in Spalding on Eagle Lake Road at 11:00 a.m. led by Ben Wade. A potluck luncheon will follow at the church.
