On Wednesday the Lassen County Office of Education teamed up with Lassen County Public Health and several other local agencies for the second annual Back to School Bash, an event dedicated to helping local families and students prepare for a successful school year. LCOE’s involvement, which included donating supplies and offering support services, helped make the event a huge success.
The Back to School Bash saw hundreds of families receive essential resources, with LCOE providing a significant boost.
The organization’s school nurses assisted at immunization stations, while staff hosted multiple booths that offered games, resources, and school supply giveaways.
LCOE also donated 100 backpacks, 50 of which were fully stocked with supplies, and contributed additional supplies to other community partners at the event. All LCOE staff members volunteered their time and efforts to support the community.
“We are always proud to serve alongside our partners at Public Health and the greater community,” said Superintendent of Schools, Patricia Gunderson. “Our team is committed to making sure every child has the tools and confidence they need to succeed.”
The event highlighted the power of community partnerships and local agencies’ commitment to student success.
