A Westwood man is being held in the Lassen County Jail, with bail set at one million dollars, after being charged with two counts of sexually abusing a minor under the age of fourteen.
According to details released Wednesday morning by the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, detectives had sought an arrest warrant for a man they identified as 34-year old Robert Cox, after conducting a lengthy investigation, involving coordination with multiple jurisdictions.
On February 4th, detectives arrested Cox on two counts of violating 288.5(a) P.C., the continuous sexual abuse of a minor under 14-years of age.
“This investigation is ongoing,” explains LCSO Sergeant Dustin Russell, “and anyone with information related to the investigation is encouraged to call the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office at 1.530.257.6121.”
