Operation Sweaters: Huge Success for Local Vets

Nearly 200 new and gently used sweaters and gloves were collected at Walton’s Funerals & Cremations locations in Northern Nevada and Susanville, during the Veterans and Family Memorial Care ‘Sweaters for Veterans’ initiative.

The donated sweaters and gloves will be distributed to Lassen County Veterans Services in Susanville, as well as the Homeless Veterans Outreach Program in Reno, for distribution to local veterans.

Walton’s is also the Official ‘Cell Phones for Soldiers’ drop off center for Northern Nevada and Susanville. People are invited to bring in their old cell phones to recycle and convert into One Hour of Free Talk time for our heroes overseas.
