Susanville’s annual Turkey Trot was again a huge success this year, featuring more than 150 runners who showed up early Thanksgiving morning at the Hall of Justice on Riverside Drive to start the holiday with a little turkey-themed fun for a good cause – helping to stock the shelves at the Susanville Salvation Army.
According to event coordinator Charlotte Roberts, the Turkey Trot brought in lots of food and raised more than $700.
“Thank you to everyone who organized, helped and participated in this great tradition!” said Susanville Salvation Army Coordinator Carla McDonald. “Your generosity goes far to help with the growing need of feeding our neighbors!”
