A SusanvilleStuff Photofeature
by Jeremy Couso
Susanville is a lot cleaner today after a group of very civic minded folks took to the streets to tidy up as part of a city sponsored clean-up day.
The annual event, which is coordinated by fire chief Ted Friedline and the city fire department, brought out a host of volunteers who worked their way along Main Street picking up litter, weed-eating and blowing sidewalks clean.
The fire department was joined by staff and administrators from various departments of the city of Susanville who pitched in for the clean-up effort.
The met at the park and then went to work, finishing up at noon, when volunteers were treated to a barbecue lunch.
It is going to be very busy in Susanville over the next month or so, with major events like the Main Cruise and the Lassen County Fair drawing a lot of people to town. It was nice of these volunteers to get up early on a Saturday morning to make sure that Susanville looks its best.
