Wow! What a day! The Lassen County Fairgrounds were packed with kids and their families April 4th, for the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt where local kids had a blast searching for more than 21,000 colorful plastic, candy-filled eggs.
Buckets were overflowing with candy and an enjoyable time was had by all. This year, along with candy, the younger age groups also found stuffed animals and toys hidden around the fairgrounds.
It takes a lot of volunteers to stuff all of those eggs with candy, and another big group who show up the morning of the event to help the Easter Bunny hide eggs – a group effort by a lot of people. Thank you to everybody who showed up to help!
Special mention should be made of Susanville’s Easter Bunny, Tina Jacobs. Also, thanks to Lassen County Fair Manager Bill Payer for going out of his way to help with everything and Ronda Hall whose dedication every year makes the Special Capabilities section at the egg hunt possible.
Thanks to our volunteers from Lassen County 4-H, Susanville Future Farmers of America, LHS Drill Team, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Eskaton Lassen Manor, FBLA, Lassen High ASB, the Lassen County Fair staff, Lassen County royalty Kaylee Micone, Delilah Heard and Londyn Smith, the Andersen family and other individuals who showed up to lend a hand.
Gold Egg Winners (Kids who found the Golden Egg got a cool Easter Basket)

Thank you to our sponsors for making all of this possible each year.
