The Susanville Farmers’ Market, open Saturday mornings throughout the summer season, kicked off last weekend in uptown Susanville’s Pancera Plaza. Beautiful weather and a nice early season selection made for a great first market of the year.
The schedule this year will include thirteen Saturday markets and three night markets featuring local farmers, ranchers, bakers, artisans, hot food vendors and more.
World famous outdoor-adventure photographer Randy Robbins opens his gorgeous photo gallery on the plaza during the market for folks who want to purchase some artwork.
Saturday markets will be held this Saturday, June 14th, June 21st, July 12th, July 26th, August 2nd, August 9th, August 16th, August 30th, September 13th, September 20th and September 27th.
Night markets will be held July 2nd, August 20th and September 3rd.
The market, managed by the Local Area Revitalization Project, is the only certified farmers’ market in Lassen County. Certified Markets include use of EBT/Snap benefits as well as WIC vouchers at applicable vendors booths.
According to LARP, more than $2,000 in EBT and WIC purchases are made annually at the markets.
