The Lassen County Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Spring Show April 25th at the Fairgrounds. A hallmark event for the region, this year’s showcase once again proved to be a fun and helpful destination for outdoor enthusiasts, home improvement DIYers and amateur horticulturalists looking to kick off the season.

This year’s showcase brought together a diverse array of vendors, offering everything from wedding and event services to home goods and unique lifestyle inspiration. Visitors wandered through displays of handmade goods and artisanal products while taking advantage of various event specials and giveaways that kept the energy high throughout the day.

The Spring Show also featured a Chili Cookoff, a Susanville crowd favorite. The air was filled with the aroma of simmering spices as local teams vied for the top spots in a competition where the flavors were bold and the competition was tough. The Chamber reported an incredible turnout of hungry community members who were eager to sample the entries and cast their votes.

When the smoke cleared, Jose’s Jalapeño Poppers took home the prestigious Judges’ Choice award for their exceptional recipe, while Plumas Bank secured the People’s Choice award.
