The Lassen County Fairgrounds were packed with kids and their families last Saturday at the big annual Community Easter Egg Hunt. The happy youngsters hunted for more than 11,000 candy-stuffed plastic Easter Eggs hidden in the grass around the grounds.
There were four different fields for different age groups stocked with eggs.
It’s a big event which requires a lot of volunteer help. From the volunteers who showed up Wednesday to stuff eggs with candy, to all all the nice folks who showed up to help the Easter Bunny hide eggs Saturday morning, it was a certainly a group effort by a lot of people.
Special mention, of course, should be made of Susanville’s Easter Bunny, Tina Jacobs. Also thanks to Lassen County Fair Manager Kaitlyn Downing for making the event possible.
