Organizers are calling the second annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot, a fundraiser for Lassen Senior Services, a huge success with an estimated 300 participants showing up Thanksgiving morning to run, walk or bike for a good cause.
Runners brought canned food and monetary donations for the Senior Service’s program. It was a great way to start Thanksgiving Day.
The top male runner was Adam Crowther of Chico, a Lassen High Graduate, and the top female runner was Alli Espinoza of San Diego. Alli is the niece of our own Dr. Barney McKee.
Thanks to all of the volunteers who put this great event together for our community.
