They’ve been busy lately at Roop’s Fort with volunteers working to rehabilitate the 160 year-old cabin’s roof and internal structure. Historical Society volunteers have had the help of several ‘friends of Susanville history’ like the folks from the Susanville Sunrise Rotary who showed up on a Saturday for a work party to help with clean-up after the roof was removed!
This week the project continues with framing of the doors and windows and the addition of new support posts on the inside of the fort.
