Plumas-Sierra Asking Customers to Continue Conserving After Partial System Restoration

Despite the partial restoration of Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric’s main transmission feed, which was affected by the Camp Fire in the Feather River Canyon, customers of the utility are still being asked to conserve as much energy as possible.

Conservation will be necessary until the power company is able to return to their normal power feed.

“We were able to get partial power back from PG&E this afternoon,” explains spokesperson Corby Erwin, “so our system is split between the feeds from PG&E and our backup from NV Energy.”

“We still have constraints and need members to continue to conserve.”
