Vitalant Blood Services is partnering with local community heroes for the fifth annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive at the LDS Church, 905 Richmond Road, July 16th and 17th. All donors will receive a custom Battle T-Shirt.
“This upcoming event will be a friendly competition between law enforcement, fire and emergency personnel,” explains Vitalant representative Corry King.
“This collaborative campaign enables badge carrying personnel to positively impact their communities by participating in a spirited competition to see which agency can donate the most blood.”
The Battle of the Badges blood drive competition allows donors to choose which organization they want to donate blood on behalf of; Team Law or Team Fire. Join United Blood Services and emergency responders in an effort to save lives on and off the job.
To donate blood, volunteers must be at least 16 years old (16 year old donors need minor donor permits which are available at the blood drive), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health.
To schedule an appointment call 866-985-0598 or go to www.vitalant.org.
Donors can now make their appointment faster by filling out their Health History Questionnaire online at www.vitalant.org the day of their appointment and printing off their Fast Track Donation ticket.
The Battle of the Badges Blood Drive will be held July 16th from 12:00 to 6:00p.m., and July 17th from 8:30a.m. to 1:30p.m.
