Prescribed Burning on the Lassen

You might notice smoke drifting our direction over the next few days as Lassen National Forest implements prescribed burning on the Eagle Lake Ranger District.

Smoke from the 145-acre burn, on the lower west side of Crater Mountain, will be visible from Highway 44. The Eagle Lake Basin may also experience short-term impacts from smoke.

If you are travelling through the area the Forest Service asks that you please obey posted signs adjacent to the prescribed fire area.

Any questions may be directed to Dave Ramirez, Eagle Lake Ranger District, 258-2141.
