About Standish-Litchfield Fire Protection District
SLFPD was founded in 1952 as a volunteer fire department. Our district serves the rural communities of Standish and Litchfield surrounding areas in Lassen County, California. Our team of volunteers is currently 7 and with 4 supporting members of the Board.

RFP Introduction
Our main station is currently in need of renovations to make our building and parking area ADA compliant. This ADA renovation will ensure all community members can access our facility safely and conveniently. The renovation schematic requires in order of priority,
• A handicap concrete parking space
• A handicap ramp with railway
• Relocating the main entrance
• New ADA restroom inside the main station
• Replacing all windows
• All new vinyl flooring
• Interior paint
Design completed by local engineer and the plans are available at the main station in Standish, CA. To review the plans see “Contact information” section.

Selection of Users
The SLFPD Board of Directors will review all proposals received. Proposals will be evaluated based on the services provided, the quality of similar work from previous municipalities and special district contracts, their established consumer reputation, and pricing.

Submittal Requirements
Two comprehensive proposal shall be submitted to the SLFPD Board for consideration. One for concrete work and one for inside work. Please include the following:

  1. Description of Organization
  2. Experience
  3. Proposed Budget
  4. References (3)

Selection Process
The SLFPD Board will conduct an evaluation based upon the criteria herein.
A. Experience of the proposer
B. Completeness of the proposal
C. Clarity and completeness of proposer’s plan to achieve project goals and objectives.

District’s Rights, Options, and Policies
SLFPD reserves the right to:
• Reject any and all proposals
• To reissue a request for proposal
• Request more information from any or all applicants
• Waive any immaterial defect or informality
