Rebecca Jean Wilson – November 21, 2014

Rebecca Jean Wilson

Rebecca Jean Wilson, loving wife of James Wilson, died November 21, 2014. She is survived by her brother Fredrick Roberts Jr, and Andrew Roberts Sr; daughters Sarah Eide, of Galt, California, and Emily Wilson of Portland, Oregon: and her grandson Austin Eide; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Rebecca was born in San Diego, California on January 8, 1957. She moved from San Jose where she grew up to Susanville in 1974 as a senior where she helped run the family
store, and graduated from Lassen High School in 1975. She met James, while working for the Forest Service; they were married on October 29, 1977. They started their family in
1980, and Rebecca went back to school and completed her LVN degree and retired as a RN with a BS. She went to work for Lassen Community Hospital, and retired from there
when High Desert Prison opened and retired on August 1, 2014 with her 18 years of service.

Rebecca was actively involved in 4-H, and the Lassen County Fair livestock auction. Rebecca was a kind and loving mother, wife and friend to many, she loved being a nurse. But her
greatest joy was spoiling her grandson; Austin.

The family will be holding a memorial service in the near future, and ask that in lieu of flowers please donate to the Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy Foundation.

With pre-planning, families find comfort in knowing that the funeral reflects what their loved one wanted. It also gives them peace of mind to not have to make important decisions at a stressful time. Click here to visit Walton’s Funeral Home
