Lassen Triple Threat Girls JV Basketball Wins Fourth Straight Tournament
This last weekend the ladies traveled to Reno to compete in the Jam On It Post Memorial Day tournament aptly named “Aftershock”. It was a two day tournament with teams attending from all over Nevada and California. Ā Our ladies stepped up to go 4-0 to claim yet another first place trophy! Competition was fierce and we all had to be on our game as we were down to 7 girls, one of our top scorers, Sara Carson is out for 6 weeks with a partially torn ligament. We buckled down and gave it all we had and came up big yet again! That takes our over all record to 18 wins and only one loss.
Ā Our next and final tournament is slated for July, this is the big one. The West Coast Championships held in Las Vegas is expected to have over 900 teams from all over the western United States including Hawaii. We have qualified to participate and the girls are working hard to raise the money to go. We would like to thank all who have donated their time and money to help us raise the funds to get there. The girls next fundraiser is a raffle, with many great items like a La-Z-Boy recliner, a cord of wood, $50.00 gas card ,and many more great prizes. So if the girls come to your home or business please support them! Tickets can also be purchased at Zaengles Floor & Home.
