Organizers of the upcoming Lassen Walk for Hope are inviting local agencies and community organizations to join as resource partners for the event, scheduled for Saturday, September 12th, at Lassen Community College.
The community-led suicide awareness and prevention walk will run from 9:00a.m. to 12:00p.m., with booth setup taking place between 7:00a.m. and 8:45a.m. the morning of the event.
The walk provides an opportunity for local groups to set up informational booths and directly connect with residents to share vital services and support networks available throughout Lassen County.
“Your presence will help make this event a welcoming and supportive experience for everyone who attends,” explains organizer Ronda Hall, noting that bringing the community together helps raise awareness, share resources, and remind people that hope and help are always available.
In addition to hosting a resource booth, participating agencies are invited to contribute an “Opportunity Basket.” This is the sole donation requested from participating groups, with all proceeds directly benefiting future Hope Walks and local suicide prevention education efforts.
Organizers are also asking businesses and community members to help spread the word by sharing event details with clients, staff, and families.
