Richmond School held a 7th and 8th grade girls basketball tournament this weekend. Teams from Chester, Johnstonville, Diamond View, Janesville, Shaffer and Richmond all participated in the 3 day event. In the 8th grade division the first place trophy went to the host team Richmond, 2nd place went to Janesville and 3rd place went to Diamond View. In the 7th grade division the results look a lot like the 8th grade division, in fact, they are exactly the same. 1st place Richmond, 2nd place Janesville and 3rd place Diamond View.
All Tourney players for the 8th grade were Vanessa Svendson – Johnstonville, Fawn Robinson – Johnstonville, Misty Glenn – DV, Ashley McDaniels – DV, Teresa Miller – Chester, Holly Fortin – Janesville, Gracie McCoy – Richmond, McKenna Busse – Richmond and the MVP was Brynn Winters from Richmond.
7th grade all tourney players were Elizabeth Bereznak – Chester, Aleah Miller – DV, McKenna Jennings – DV, Kayla Downs – Janesville, Bailey Packard – Janesville, Melanie Gatie – Richmond, Dani Nevis – Richmond and MVP was Madee Cluck from Richmond.
