Robert ‘Bob’ Poteet, a long time resident of Susanville, passed away on May 5th, 2024. He is joining the love of his life and wife of 68 years, Rose Mary Poteet. He also joins his oldest daughter Jocelyn, his parents, his sister, and his lifelong friends.
He leaves his daughters Jeanine and Stephanie and 11 grandchildren and several great
grandchildren.
He was a good man, father, husband, and lifelong friend. He enjoyed fast cars in his younger days sporting the James Dean look. He enjoyed playing a song on a guitar around a campfire. He also loved a starry sky, a good steak dinner, a cold beer, and playing solitaire on his computer.
He will be remembered always and will be missed. When my mom passed she wanted us to play ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ and we will play ‘Have you Ever Seen the Rain’ for my dad. We will always remember that without rain there are no rainbows!
