Contestants in the Rotary’s annual area speech contest demonstrated their oratory skills to a full house Wednesday night at the Lassen County Office of Education. The first place finisher was Noah Bartel of St. Andrew’s Academy, sponsored by Chester Rotary. Rotary Club of Susanville’s contestant Alegra Miranda was a very close second.
