The Susanville Rotary club will be holding its annual Radio Auction fundraiser this Saturday, March 17th.
Since 1974 the yearly fundraiser for the Rotary group, whose motto is ‘service above self’, has helped to support the many community programs that the club undertakes each year; sober graduation, college scholarships, visits from Santa for those in need, exchange student programs and many other activities in which Rotary’s efforts benefit the community.
The radio auction will include a wide variety of valuable items from local merchants and service providers and it’s always fun when the Rotarians and volunteers step up to the microphone to start the bidding and they do a great job of talking up all of the donated items on the air.
According to current Rotary President Bob Burns, “Once again the merchants have outdone themselves with their generous contributions to the effort.”
The Rotary radio auction will be broadcast live on 1240 KSUE starting at 8:00am Saturday, March 17th. For more information call 257-0077.
